This guy (Chris Malta) is the bomb. He hosts an online database of butt-kicking Drop Ship companies and they pretty much all rock.

…Coming back to earth now…

Seriously, his resource of companies is current and very informative.  It’s cross referenced by product type, distributor name and contains important stuff like Drop Ship Fees, who to contact at each Drop Ship company to get started, and in some cases, samples of products that the Drop Shipper offers as well as links to each one of the Drop Shippers sites.

One other very important note, he has contacted all of the Drop Shippers that are on his list so they are practically waiting for your phone call.

I have contacted about 25% of the Drop Shippers on in his database and am satisfied that all of the contact information is recent and relevant.  In addition, I use 6 of the Drop Shippers from his database, and have had nary a problem with any of them.

I have to say that having the database provide critical information like the Drop Ship fee really went a long way in helping me determine how I was going to position shipping on some of my sites.  The Drop Shipper site links really help as well.  If you’re looking for a particular item (and you should because your in a niche market, right?) you can search the database a few different ways, and you can usually end up with the exact product that you want.

I purchased access to the database on a Monday and by the following Saturday, there were new Drop Shipper listings. Very Cool.

On his site, he also offers a Free E-Book that is a very comprehensive overview of Drop Shipping and there is a link to a real audio interview  that expands a quite a bit on the info from the e-book. Also a free-bee.

One of the characteristics about Chris Malta is that he is a down to earth, no-nonsense guy who just feels and behaves in an honest manner. And frankly, the information he offers is powerful at a very cheap price point.  He charges around $70 for access to the database. Break this down into dollars per hour.  Let’s say that you’re worth $20 an hour at your day job.  That means that you would need to spend about 3 and a half hours on the web doing research to find Drop Ship wholesalers before his database access would become more valuable than your time.  Take it from me.  In 3 and half-hours, you MIGHT find 1 Drop Shippers that are the same quality that Chris Malta has in his database.  His database has over 500 Drop Shippers offering 500,000 products in it. Don’t waste your time and try to do this yourself.  Use the database instead.

Chris also has quite a few useful links to state agencies where you can register your business and get your Tax ID number.  This is a free service that he provides and can save you tons of time.  If you have ever tried wading through a .org website looking for any specific information, you’ll understand what I mean.

P.S.  I chatted with Chris this week.  He tells me that he's gong to double the size of the directory this year.  Yeah Baby!
